Royal Noise + Muscle Tough + SeepeopleS at Silk City
Tue • 05.24.16 • 9:00 pm - 2:00 am

Get ready for jam bands with a bit of funk and many other sounds featuring Royal Noise, Muscle Tough & SeepeopleS. Brought to you by Deathwaltz Media!

Royal Noise

Founded in 2010, The Royal Noise is GNARLY FUNK defined. Their music is reminiscent of Herbie Hancock and Lettuce, with the dance/jam sensibilities of such acts as Umphrey's McGee and Phish.

"one of the best funk acts to emerge from the East Coast in a long while" - Simon Eddie, HOMEGROWN MUSIC NETWORK

“the whole damn band is a pack of rhythm devils … a clear case of a half-dozen souls consumed by percussion poltergeists, and there are only two things they could have done: call an exorcist or form a kick-ass jazz/funk band. Fortunately for us, The Royal Noise gave in to the beat beast and did the latter.” - Brian Robbins,JAMBANDS.COM

"The finest jazz/funk quartet in town... Whatever you choose to call it, jazz, rock or funk, the Royal Noise makes instrumental music that moves like heavy machinery light on its feet. It’s musical perpetual motion… the songs metamorphose right before your eyes and ears"
- Bill Deyoung, Noteworthy

Muscle Tough

Muscle Tough is Philadelphia's premier Bizarro-Party-Funk trio. Formed in 2014 at TIME, the band has developed a sound that is a heavily improvised blend of modal jazz, funk, and psychedelia. Drawing from a widely diverse set of influences and a common love of sonic texture, their unique use of sound design and group-minded improvisation allows them to create eclectic original compositions, as well as stretch classic pop hits to new depths. They held a monthly residency at TIME in 2015, and in 2016 will release their first EP, "Greasin' Up The Mediocrity Wheel".

SeepeopleS

SeepeopleS is singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Will Bradford’s longtime independent cult alt-rock project whose stylistically manic collection of ethereal electronics, agitated guitar rock, narcotic samples, atmospheric pop, and acoustic-based song craft collide in a massive melodic bang that serves as the bedrock for the band’s intense, brooding lyrics and bright, sunny pop melodies.  Through four albums—with a fifth on the way—and hundreds of live shows, SeepeopleS have created a rare beast: a narrative of timeless songs that challenge the mainstream, speak universal truths and embrace deep originality.
